About the early years foundation stage framework
The early years foundation stage (EYFS) sets the standards for the learning, development and care of children up to the age of five years old. All reception classes, nursery classes and childminders must follow the early years framework unless they have been granted an exemption by the Secretary of State.
You can learn more from EYFS publications - as well as the documents below, which will help you audit different aspects of EYFS practice and provision, specific areas of learning and the characteristics of effective learning.
