Nordic walking

Nordic walking is a full-body exercise that's easy on the joints and suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It's based on using specially designed walking poles in a way that harnesses the power of the upper body to propel you forward as you walk.

We offer free, five-week Nordic walking courses for beginners in Hereford. They are very popular, so we recommend that you book early. Our courses are a great way to learn a new skill in a fun and friendly social atmosphere.

  • 1 hour sessions
  • Specialist poles will be provided
  • Suitable for all ages and fitness levels
  • Dress prepared for the weather with sturdy footwear or trainers
  • Meet at the Cabin on Bishops Meadow, Hereford

Courses 1-6 have now finished, but you can book a place on one of the following courses:

Course 7: Monday 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 August, 1pm - 2pm

Course 8: Monday 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 August, 5pm - 6pm

Course 9: Friday 9,16, 23, 30 September, 7 October, 10am - 11am, led walk only (no poles)

Course 10: Monday 12, 19, 26 September, 3, 10 October, 1pm - 2pm

Course 11: Monday 12, 19, 26 September, 3, 10 October, 5pm - 6pm

Course 12: Thursday 8, 15, 22, 29 September, 6 October, 10am - 11am
