Community resilience

Communities that use their local resources and knowledge to help themselves during an emergency not only take the pressure off first responder services, but also tend to recover faster after the event.

That's why we encourage Town and Parish councils in Herefordshire to actively build their community resilience. This means identifying the particular risks your community faces, like a severe flood, industrial fire or snowfall, and then having a plan in place to deal with potential emergencies.
