Herefordshire Libraries has an online catalogue you can use to browse and reserve any item in the county, and have it delivered to your local Herefordshire Library, free of charge.
You can also log into your account and renew any items you have on loan from us.
You will need a PIN number to access the online services. You can get your PIN number when you register online or please visit your local library.
Using the online catalogue
If you are unsure how to use the online catalogue there is a help menu available online and also an online tour you can take at the top right of the login screen.
Click on the 'My Account' button at the top right of the catalogue page
From the My Account area, you can see what books you have on loan, and whether any of your free reservations are waiting at a library for you to collect.
You can also check that your personal information is up to date .
To renew your books
Once you have logged in, click on the box next to the items you would like to renew. Then click the renew loan button. Please note that in some instances you will not be able to renew a book. You can normally renew your books twice without bringing them to the library. If a book has been reserved by another user, you will only be able to renew the book for two days.
Reserve books online
Once you have logged in, click on the reserve button when you have found a book, and follow the instructions on screen.
You will then receive an email notifying you of any items waiting collection, if we hold your current email address on record.
You can also check in 'my account' once you have logged in to see if you have any reservations ready.
'My account' security measures
Please note that there is a non activity timeout on my account for security reasons. Details of your account are made available for only a short period of time as this prevents someone using the computer after you from altering your account. Always log out of your account when you have finished, especially if you are using a computer in a public area.
