We are working in partnership with housing associations and private developers to deliver the following developments.

Please note that due to Covid-19, timescales for completion may vary because of restrictions placed on developments.

Beattie Avenue, Hereford

Housing Association - Connexus

Beattie Avenue is south of the city situated in Hunderton. Connexus Housing Group have secured planning permission to demolish 41 pre-fabricated bungalows and build 71 bungalows and houses with a mixture of tenures and bed sizes. These units will be delivered in two phases over the next two years.

The scheme is subject to a Section 106 and local connection.

Anticipated Completion April 2021 and April 2022.

Leadon Way, Ledbury

Housing Association - Citizen

The scheme is being developed on agricultural/pastoral land, work is currently underway. This is a large site with a total of 325 properties being built of which 125 units will be for affordable housing. The site will be completed in three phases.

There will be a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bed properties for rent and shared ownership.

The scheme is subject to a Section 106 and local connection.

Anticipated completion from March 2021.

Holmer West Phase 2, Hereford

Housing association - Platform

The scheme is being developed by Bloor Homes and is a site of 450 properties. There will be 159 affordable housing delivered in three phases. There will also be an extra care scheme. Phase one was completed in March 2019 and phase two in March 2020. Phase three and the extra care scheme are to be confirmed. There will be 4 shared ownership properties.

Housing association - Connexus

Formally belonging to the council, the old registry office is being converted into apartments with additional apartments to the rear of the site. Connexus are being sympathetic to the development and retaining the original façade of the building fronting on to Bath Street. Connexus are providing a number of the dwellings to be used as supported accommodation.

There will be a mix of 1 and 2 bed units:

  • 73 x affordable rent
  • 1 x open market rent

This scheme is a regeneration project. The existing dwellings were prefabricated bungalows that were no longer fit for purpose. Planning permission was approved to demolish the units and rebuild a mixture of houses and bungalows.

This is a flagship scheme and the first for Herefordshire. Stonewater, in partnership with the council, are developing the old Bramley Workshop site and regenerating 16 properties that were no longer fit for purpose. The two sites will generate 19 units of which 9 will be available to veterans through a self-build scheme.

There will be a mix of houses and flats - 1, 2 and 3 bed properties.
