The following household recycling centres will be open from Saturday 9 May:

Hereford HRC, Chapel Road, Rotherwas
Leominster HRC, Bridge Street, Leominster
Open hours 8am to 6pm - 7 days per week

The other household recycling centres in Kington, Bromyard, Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye will remain closed for the time being, until available staffing resource will permit these sites to reopen as well.

Please do not visit unless it is essential for you to do so and read the full guidelines before you visit and see how the sites will operate.

We are continuing to provide the household collection service as normal, but please check this website regularly for updates.

Please remember to:

Stay at home - in accordance with government advice no one should be making any unnecessary journeys.

Manage garden waste at home - we must all change our normal behaviours, there are simple things we can all do to manage garden waste at home:

Cut and drop - don't collect grass cuttings unless you intend to use them for home composting, simply cut the grass without the collector on.

Create a compost heap - whatever the size of your garden you should have space for a heap. If not, use a low cost home composter to keep the garden tidy.

DIY waste - store your DIY waste responsibly until restrictions are lifted.

New appliances. Request that the supplier takes back the old appliance wherever possible.

General waste - with many stores struggling to keep up with demand for groceries and everyday household items please PLAN your meals to reduce waste. Store perishable food in the freezer wherever possible.

Do not burn your waste - burning most wastes is illegal. Store any waste that cannot be collected safely until restrictions are lifted.
