Hereford Library has moved to a temporary home
Hereford Library has now closed at the Museum Resource and Learning Centre (MRLC).
The library will open at a new temporary space at Hereford Town Hall on Tuesday 22 October 2024.
This temporary arrangement will be in place until September 2026 while the Shirehall undergoes its two-year renovation.
Opening hours
Hereford temporary library will be open:
- Tuesday to Friday 9.30am to 5pm
- Saturday 9.30am to 4pm
Services at the library
You can borrow books and other items from the temporary library in the same way as now.
On the ground floor there's a welcome desk, printing and copying, self-service kiosks, reservations and click and collect, and a dedicated children's library space.
There will also be public network computers, public wi-fi and space to sit and work. Computer use is restricted to 1 hour per day due to high demand.
