Holiday activities and food programme in Herefordshire

Herefordshire's holiday activities programme is running throughout the Easter holidays and is free for all school aged children 4 to 16 (reception to year 11) who are eligible for benefit related free school meals.

We have a range of providers delivering the Easter Programme, offering over 1800 sessions with a fantastic range of exciting indoor and outdoor activities, such as stand-up paddle boarding, circus skills, dance, rugby, forest school, cooking workshops, den-building, science activities, football, boxing, cooking, crafts (plus so much more), along with a healthy meal during each session.

Check if your child is eligible

If your child is school aged 4 to 16 (reception to year 11) and eligible for benefit related free school meals, they'll be able to attend our different activities.

Please note: If your family is eligible for Universal Credit, you may also be able to claim back up to 85% of your childcare costs. To find out more, see the Universal Credit and childcare page on the government's website.

What you can book

You can book up to 16 hours of free activities during the Easter holidays, choosing from a wide range of fantastic activities. Your child will also receive a healthy meal at each session.

Some of our activities will include provision for children with special educational needs and disabilities or additional needs. Please discuss your child's needs and requirements directly with the activity provider.

Please note: If you make a booking, but are no longer able to attend, you must cancel your place, by using the function on the booking system. If you have any difficulties then please contact the HAF team at stating the session you would like to cancel, so it can be offered to another child.
