Holiday activities and food programme in Herefordshire
Here for Herefordshire Holidays programme is running throughout the summer, Easter and Christmas holidays and is free for all school-aged children, reception to year 11, who are eligible for benefit-related free school meals.
We have a range of providers delivering the programme offering a fantastic range of exciting indoor and outdoor activities, such as pottery, aerial skills, martial arts, dance, rugby, forest school, cooking workshops, music workshops, soccer camps (subject to change), along with a healthy meal during each session.
Check if your child is eligible
If your child is school-aged, reception to year 11, and eligible for benefit-related free school meals, they'll be able to attend our different activities.
Please note: If your family is eligible for Universal Credit, you may also be able to claim back up to 85% of your childcare costs. To find out more, see the Universal Credit and childcare page on the government's website.
What you can book
You can book up to 64 hours of free activities during the summer holidays, and 16 hours during the Easter and Christmas holidays.
Some of our activities will include provision for children with special educational needs and disabilities or additional needs. Please discuss your child's needs and requirements directly with the activity provider.
Please note: If you make a booking, but are no longer able to attend, you must cancel your place, by using the function on the booking system. Should you encounter any difficulties then please contact the HAF team at HAF@herefordshire.gov.uk stating the session you would like to cancel, so it can be offered to another child.

Our programme is fully funded by the Department for Education and is run in partnership with local schools, sports clubs, outdoor educators, community organisations and childcare providers.
