Flooding advice for communities
Herefordshire Flood Groups meeting
Representatives from flood groups, parish councils and local communities across Herefordshire came together with organisations that help manage flood risk on Wednesday 29 November 2023.
Attendees heard from speakers from Herefordshire Council, Balfour Beatty Living Places (BBLP), the Environment Agency and the National Flood Forum who shared their knowledge and experience of how we can all work together to tackle flooding.

Flooding presentation
Steve Hodges from Herefordshire Council made a presentation at a Herefordshire Federation of Women's Institutes hosted event on 26 September 2022. The event provided practical advice from Mary Dhonau and Steve on how to protect your home and your family.
Herefordshire Tactical Coordinating Group flooding webinar
The Herefordshire multi-agency Tactical Coordinating Group (TCG) have responded to a number of flooding events over the years. They felt it would be beneficial for the TCG to provide local parish councils with some pre-flood event advice to supplement advice that is widely promoted elsewhere.
A Microsoft Teams webinar was held on 12 August 2021 and included presentations from Herefordshire Police, the Environment Agency, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, and Herefordshire Council.
