Changes to bus services

Changes to services should show in the timetables and journey planning on Traveline from the dates shown below.
From Tuesday 6 May 2025
Service 476, DRM, Hereford - Ledbury
- Increased frequency to hourly during parts of the day
- Slight change of route in order to serve the Hawk Rise estate
- Minor retimings in order to improve punctuality
From Monday 28 April 2025
Service 440, Yeomans Travel, Hereford/Pontrilas - Abbeydore
- Minor retimings in order improve connections at Pontrilas with Stagecoach service 23
From Sunday 27 April 2025
Service 66, Newport Transport, Monmouth - Hereford
- More journeys will now be serving Hereford, Railway Station
- Slight change of route in the Monmouth section
- Minor retimings in order to improve punctuality
From Monday 24 March 2025
492 - Leominster - Wellington - Hereford
- Increased frequency to become an hourly service from Monday - Saturday.
- Journeys from Hereford - Leominster will no longer go via Edgar Street due to issues with traffic congestion. Widemarsh Street will be used as an alternative.
- Minor retiming of some journeys in order to improve punctuality.
From Monday 24 February 2025
Lugg Valley Travel
426 - Leominster - Bodenham - Hereford
- This will continue unchanged except that the 16:05 school day journey from Bodenham to Hereford will be withdrawn.
492 - Leominster - Wellington - Hereford
- This will also continue unchanged except that the 16:45 departure from Hereford to Leominster (Monday to Friday) will depart 30 minutes later at 17:15.
- The 09:18 college day journey from Hereford to Leominster will be withdrawn.
802 - Leintwardine - Hereford
- This service was withdrawn before the February half-term break.
Yeomans Travel
449 - Hereford – Kingstone – Madley
- The 08:15 departure from Hereford Country Bus Station to Kingstone will depart 5 minutes earlier at 08:10.
- The 09:10 school day departure from Peterchurch to Hereford will be withdrawn.
- The 14:10 school day departure from Hereford to Peterchurch will terminate at Madley and will not serve Peterchurch.
809 - Hereford - Clehonger - Madley - Peterchurch (Fairfield School)
- This will be withdrawn after operation on Friday 14 February 2025.

From Monday 17 February 2025
Following the disruption to Leominster and Wigmore services over the past month, Sargeants will officially take over operations starting Monday 17 February.
Initially, they will run a reduced timetable until they can restore the full schedule. It is hoped this will be resolved within the coming weeks.
The following services will not be operating until further notice:
- 501: No service on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
- 490:- Leominster: 8:15 - Ludlow: 9:05 - 14:45 - 15:45
- 402: 12:05
- 404: 10:33, 12:33
- 401: 17:43
- 494: 7:30, 15:20
- 76: 13:05
- 76A: 13:35
To help introduce Sargeants to the local area and to compensate for the disruptions caused, they will offer a day ticket for just £1.50 for the first two weeks.
Passengers can use this ticket to travel as often as they like on the following services:
- 401/402/403/404: Leominster local services
- 490: Leominster to Ludlow
- 494/495/496: Leominster to Shobdon (including Pembridge)
- 501: Leominster to Hereford via Ivington
- 502: Leominster to Hereford (via Canon Pyon)
- 504: Leominster to Hereford (via Dilwyn/Eardisland) - Saturday service
- 76/76A: Hereford town services
- 489: Wigmore to Leominster
- 498: Leintwardine to Hereford
- 507: Leominster to Weobley
Please note, the commercial routes 492 and 426, which will continue to be operated by Yeomans Canyon Travel are exempt from the £1.50 fare.
From Sunday 26 January 2025
33 – Stagecoach West, Hereford – Ross-on-Wye – Gloucester
- Minor change of route in order to serve St Mary's Garden Village, just off the A40 in Ross-on-Wye
- Improved links and connections along Ledbury Road in Ross-on-Wye
- Journeys towards Gloucester will stop near John Kyrle High School, on Ledbury Road. Journeys towards Ross-on-Wye/Hereford will continue to go into the school grounds, as at present
- Bus stops near the Camp Road/Gloucester Road junction will no longer form part of the route but are already served by alternative bus provision

T14 – Stagecoach South Wales, Hereford – Hay-on-Wye – Brecon
- Minor retiming of some journeys in order to improve punctuality

23 – Stagecoach South Wales, Newport – Abergavenny – Hereford

- Includes 1630 from Hereford retimed to depart at 1620 each day
