Herefordshire Council is continuing to invest in the county’s roads, with a planned programme of resurfacing works taking place throughout September.

The council is investing an additional £13.5 million into the county’s highway network in 2025/26, with many of the road improvement schemes either already completed or underway.

The latest improvement works planned for September are as follows:

A4111 - Cemetery Bends, Nr. Kington

B4234 - Walford Road, Ross on Wye

B4362 – Yarpole to Lucton

B4234 - Copse Cross Street, Ross on Wye

A438   - Letton

B4234 - Brookend Street, Ross on Wye

A44     - Monkland Bridge towards Leominster

B4348 - Dorestone Village to Little Llanafon Farm

C1095 - Tillington Road (Three Elms Road SR)
 

Cllr Barry Durkin, Cabinet Member for Roads and Regulatory Services, said:

“I’m pleased to see our roads investment scheme continuing throughout September. Investing in our county’s roads is a top priority, and the ongoing resurfacing work will help to improve the resilience of the network, deliver better journeys and prepare our highways for the winter months.

“The resurfacing taking place during September is the latest element of our additional investment of £13.5 million for works across the county in 2025/26, which builds on our investment of £8 million last year.”
