Continuing to invest in Herefordshire roads
Herefordshire Council is continuing to invest in the county’s roads, with a planned programme of resurfacing works taking place throughout December.
The council is investing an additional £13.5 million into the county’s highway network in 2025/26, with many of the road improvement schemes either already completed or underway.
The latest improvement works planned for December are as follows:
- U67233 - Biddulph Way, Ledbury
- U67253 - Martins Way, Ledbury
- C1016 - Old Downton Lodge
- U65210 - Woodend Lane Stoke Lacy
- Rectory Lane (Byway – Cradley)
Cllr Barry Durkin, Cabinet Member for Roads and Regulatory Services, said: “Investing in our county’s roads remains a top priority. I reported at the last Council cabinet meeting that we have resurfaced, strengthened and surface dressed almost 100 miles of our highway network this financial year.
“Our additional £13.5 million roads improvement scheme will continue throughout December to prepare our highways for the coming winter months.”
