How would you set the council budget?

A consultation has been launched to gather views from residents and businesses about how Herefordshire Council’s budget should be prioritised in 2025/26.

Residents are being asked to try to set a balanced budget for next year using our online interactive budget simulator tool which shows the impact of changes in income and expenditure on the delivery of services.

The consultation also asks for feedback on areas of potential investment across the county and outlines a number of proposed increases in council tax alongside how much additional money each would raise.

To balance the budget and give your views online please see the consultation at: https://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/budgetconsultation

The online consultation will be open until Sunday 15 December 2024.

We will also be engaging with local businesses, community groups and parish councils to gather views on budget proposals, with dates to follow.
