Shirehall exterior

Built in the early 1800s, neo-classical style and Grade II listed, the Shirehall provides the ideal venue for training courses, conferences, job fairs, craft fairs, parties, wedding receptions, dance, yoga and community groups with rooms to cater for groups of all sizes.

Building features and facilities

City centre location, within easy reach of train station and with a bus stop right outside. Shirehall long stay pay and display car park is adjacent to the building and has electric charging points.

Additional equipment is available free with room bookings - flip chart (not including pens and paper), projector, screen and television for use with your own laptop.

Refreshments are available to order in advance - tea and coffee (75p per unit), filtered water (65p per unit).

Accessibility

There is an outside stair lift to enable wheelchairs and pushchairs to access the Shirehall.

All ground floor meeting rooms are easily accessible. There is a lift and stair lift available to the first floor for the Main hall.

All prices are per hour. If you intend to serve alcohol and/or have over 100 people at your event you will need an extra custodian.
