Domestic abuse

Anyone can be a victim of domestic violence, male or female, young or old. But you do not have to put up with it as everyone has the right to live safe and secure. If your husband, wife, partner, or someone else in your family hits you, tries to control what you do, threatens you or in some other way abuses you, you can do something about it.

If you are a victim of domestic abuse and violence, or know someone who is, there is help available to escape. We work closely with the Community Safety Partnership to make sure those affected get the support they need, and that those who inflict violence and abuse are caught and convicted.
