King's Award for Voluntary Service Presentation

KAVS

The Lord-Lieutenant of Herefordshire, Mr Edward Harley CBE, presented St Peter's Church Hub with The King's Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS) on Monday 10th March.

The KAVS is the highest Award given to local voluntary groups in the UK and is equivalent to an MBE.

St Peter's Church provides the residents of Golden Valley with a place to meet and socialise. It offers volunteering and training opportunities for local people, as well as wellbeing support and signposting to local services. Its café serves affordable food and a volunteer-run branch of Herefordshire Libraries operates from its Bell Tower.
