Physical activity

Everyone can benefit from being physically active. Physical activity can reduce your risk of major illness such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke and some cancers. Being physically active can also boost your self-esteem, energy levels and sleep quality as well as lower risk of stress, depression, dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Find out if you are doing enough physical activity for your age.

Everyone should get active

Being physically active is enjoyable, fun and an excellent way to be with friends and meet new people whatever your age.

Check and find out if you are doing enough physical activity for your age.

Take regular exercise

If you want to exercise more regularly, then try one of our leisure centres or a local leisure club.

Go cycling, or get out for a walk in Herefordshire's beautiful countryside or a park or open space near you.

There is lots of information and advice on being active on our Talk Community Directory.

You can search for local activities on Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire's Activity Finder.

You can also find out more about getting active from other organisations like Living Streets.
