The Herefordshire Virtual School provides dedicated support to children who are looked after and previously looked after, helping them achieve the best possible educational outcomes.

Previously looked after children are those who were in the care of an English or Welsh local authority and who have since left care through an:

Early years pupil premium (EYPP)

Working parents of adopted children may be eligible for the early years pupil premium (EYPP).

EYPP is additional funding paid to early years providers to enhance the education, development and opportunities of disadvantaged children aged 9 months to 4 years who are accessing government-funded childcare.

Funded childcare for working foster carers

Children in foster care may be eligible for fully funded education and childcare where their foster carers combine employment with their fostering responsibilities.
