Health emergencies

Health emergencies include incidents that could put people's health at risk, such as the spread of infectious diseases or other serious public health concerns.

Herefordshire Council works closely with the NHS and national partners to help protect local communities. Specialist investigation and response is led by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).

Reporting health emergencies or infectious diseases

If you are concerned about a health emergency or need to report a suspected or confirmed infectious disease, please contact the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).
