Using a funeral director

The family or executor may choose and instruct a funeral director to make the funeral arrangements. When arranging a funeral with a funeral director it is important you are completely satisfied with the service you receive. The funeral director will book the date and time with the service and will assist you in completing the forms required. Your funeral director should always supply an itemised estimate of what of all the charges. All funeral arrangements will be discussed between you and the funeral director.

It is worth noting that some funeral directors are members of professional organisations. For more information, please visit:

The National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD)

The Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF)
