Hereford Crematorium has a wide choice of memorials available in three gardens which allow families to commemorate their loved one. You can lease most of our memorials for a period of time (5, 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 years). There is also the option of renewing the lease for a further period (from 1, 5 or 10 years). It's not always possible to place a memorial where the cremated remains are scattered. There are a choice of memorials in designated locations, some of which will be in the same area where the scattering has taken place. Alternatively, you may lease a memorial where it is possible to have up to sets of ashes placed inside for the duration of the lease.
Garden of Remembrance
This garden is now closed for further interments with the exception of families with ashes previously interred. The garden is designed to create an atmosphere of peace and serenity. It includes a more formal area with initial pathways flanked by kerbs displaying bronze and granite memorial plaques. There are designated areas for memorial vases to be placed with the plaques. The paths lead to a more informal area, with memorial trees and benches and a lawn where ashes are interred. There is also the Book of Remembrance Room, which holds the Book of Remembrance containing memorial entries.
