Support for energy improvements at home
The Home Energy Savers initiative is available to Herefordshire residents to help keep warm with funded surveys and energy efficient improvements tailored to households.
Are you eligible?
You can request a free home energy efficiency assessment if:
- You live in Herefordshire
- You are an owner occupier
- You live in a residential dwelling
- Your household income is £36,000 a year or more and/or
- Your household has disposable income available to spend on energy efficiency measures for your home
You will not be eligible if:
- You live in a listed property
- You live in a conservation area
- You live in a business building that has an element of residential accommodation, such as B&Bs, guesthouses, flats above shops, pubs with staff accommodation, hostels
Home Energy Savers offers:
- A free in-home assessment, survey, and installations provided by council partners Evolve Home Energy Solutions.
- Free tailored home improvement plan, created to help eligible households understand how their property loses heat and wastes energy.
- Appropriate packages of options for measures suited to each household. Funding support is available for recommended works.
The scheme is running alongside Keep Herefordshire Warm, the highly successful project managed by YES Energy Solutions which currently provides customers with free energy advice.
