New Youth Employment Hub opened on Monday 28 October 2024
Herefordshire's new Youth Employment Hub is here to support young people aged 16-24 in their journey toward education, employment, and personal development. The Hub offers a comprehensive range of services, including:
- Education and training guidance
- Work experience and volunteering opportunities
- Confidence-building workshops
- Money management advice
- Wellbeing support
Additionally, the Hub will also be hosting career sector events and provide drop-in sessions for young people seeking immediate assistance.
The Youth Employment Hub is partnered with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), who will have two coaches on-site.
The Hub will also collaborate with SENDIASS and numerous national and local partners to ensure a holistic approach to youth support.
The Hub is coordinated by Amy Tommey, and has two Careers and Employment Coaches, Rebecca Mallon and Kath Ayres.
