We maintain a property terrier, which is a record of property owned or leased by the council. The terrier is a collection of maps and legal records of properties that the council has an interest in.
We can quickly check the terrier to see whether a property is in our ownership. If it is then we can put you in touch with the relevant department responsible.

- The full postal address, including post code, of the property
- An Ordnance Survey (OS) grid reference
- A location plan with the property or area highlighted
- Any other information you feel is relevant
If the property is not council owned, contact the Land Registry who hold national records of all registered land ownership.
