Voting if you have no fixed address

If you don't have a fixed address, you can still register to vote through a declaration of local connection. This may be because you are:

  • A patient in a mental health hospital
  • A homeless person
  • A person remanded in custody

If you want to register through a declaration of local connection you will need to do so under the new registration system. This means you will need to provide your date of birth and National Insurance number.

To register you can contact us directly and we will send you the relevant form to complete or you can download the form from GOV.UK.
