Boundary review

Review of ward boundaries in Herefordshire

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England are undertaking an electoral review of Herefordshire Council. They are the independent body responsible for determining the electoral arrangements of local authorities across England.

The review of our authority is taking place in time to be implemented for the full-term local government elections in May 2027.

The electoral review is being carried out to make sure that each local councillor represents about the same number of electors, and that the wards they represent reflect community identities.

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England published their draft recommendations from the consultation and they wanted to hear people's views on where they live, to help make sure that the new wards reflect the size and shape of local communities. The consultation closed on 6 July 2026.
