Closed circuit television (CCTV) plays a crucial role in preventing and detecting crime in public places in the county's city and towns.
We are responsible for the CCTV network across Herefordshire and co-ordinate with West Mercia Police.
There are CCTV cameras across Herefordshire, you can see the locations on our map.

All of our CCTV cameras record images 24 hours a day.
We do not keep footage for longer than 28 days when it is automatically overwritten, unless we have received a formal request for the footage, or it is relevant to an ongoing investigation.
Our CCTV cameras are carefully positioned to respect the privacy of the public and they don't overlook any areas where privacy is expected.
