Partnership working

Herefordshire Council works with a wide range of partners to deliver our vision for the county and our county plan ambitions.

Partnerships vary in size, service area, funding, membership and function; some provide a strategic focus while others direct operational activity. Whatever the arrangement, it is important for us to ensure that partnerships continue to perform effectively. We need assurance that partnerships' governance supports their operation, including in such key areas as decision-making, accountability and regulatory compliance, and that they uphold the council's values.

Our partnerships governance framework sets out how we promote high governance standards in the partnerships we enter into and how we monitor the effectiveness of partnership governance arrangements. You can also see the questionnaire we use to assess partnership governance standards and the register of our more significant partnerships.
