Community flood recovery grant details

Please note  that the eligibility criteria is based upon the Flood recovery framework.

This grant relates to residential properties where, as a result of flooding in February 2020:

  • Flood water entered into the habitable areas of the residence; or Flood water did not enter into the habitable areas, but the local authority regards that the residence was otherwise considered unliveable for any period of time

Second homes, empty homes and student accommodation are not eligible.

Only one claim is allowed per property*. Procedures are in place to prevent fraudulent claims being made.

*Please note, properties that were flooded in October and November 2019 who have already received funding from the Community Flood Recovery Grant will be permitted to make a second application for funding relating to the February 2020 Community Flood Recovery Grant.

This is not a compensation scheme. It is of a discretionary nature and is subject to the availability of funding.

The decision of the grant panel is final and it reserves the right to vary the level of grant or reject an application.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 22nd May 2020.

Provide photos of the flooding/flood damage. You can upload a maximum of 4 files and there is a combined file limit of 20mb. If you exceed that limit your form may not submit successfully.
