Easy access walking routes

Stiles are one of the biggest obstacles to walking in the countryside for the elderly, those with mobility problems or those who simply want an easy going walk. We are working to improve the rights of way network to enable easier access by encouraging landowners to replace stiles with gates wherever possible.

There are two 'Miles without stiles' routes, that we produced in partnership with the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can download the Cradley Miles without stiles leaflet and Colwall Miles without stiles leaflet.

If you are looking for an accessible route in Ross on Wye, then try the 4 mile long Ross Buggy Route. It is fully accessible, on easy terrain and also has no stiles.

Queenswood Country Park also has a number of paths which follow easy access stone or woodchip surfaced paths and an electric mobility vehicle trail.

There are more accessible routes in Herefordshire available on the Accessible Countryside for Everyone website.
