To get a disabled person's bus pass you will need to provide evidence that you qualify using any one of the eligibility categories of disability issued by the Department for Transport. Select the categories to view the evidence that we will accept.
| Category | Description |
|---|---|
| Category A - Blind or partially sighted | A person is eligible for a concessionary bus pass if they are blind (severely sight impaired) or partially sighted (sight impaired). |
| Category B - Profoundly or severely deaf | A person is eligible for a concessionary bus pass if they are profoundly or severely deaf. |
| Category C - Without speech | A person is eligible for a concessionary bus pass if they are without speech. |
| Category D - Substantial and long term adverse effect on ability to walk | A person is eligible for a concessionary bus pass if they have a long term and substantial disability that means they cannot walk or which makes walking very difficult. |
| Category E - Does not have arms or has long term loss of the use of both arms | A person is eligible for a concessionary bus pass if they do not have arms or if they have long term loss of use of both arms. |
| Category F - Learning disability | A person is eligible for a concessionary bus pass if they have a learning disability as defined by the Transport Act 2000. |
| Category G - Refusal of a driving licence | A person is eligible for a concessionary bus pass if they are not eligible for a driving licence on medical grounds. |
| Category H - Your Blue Badge was issued after April 2012 | A person is eligible for a concessionary bus pass if they have a current disabled person's parking badge (Blue Badge) issued by us. |
