Parking enforcement

We carry out civil parking enforcement under powers contained in part six of the Traffic Management Act 2004. The Act came into effect on 31 March 2008.

We want parking enforcement in Herefordshire to be fair and transparent. To help you avoid receiving a penalty charge notice please read our parking enforcement document.

If you park in breach of the county's parking regulations, you will face a penalty charge of either £70 or £50, reduced to £35 or £25 if paid within 14 days of the notice being issued.

We may issue penalty charge notices by post. This happens if the vehicle is driven away, or if we are unable to serve the notice because of a person's interference.
