Non-UK issued disabled permits

Herefordshire Council will recognise any disabled badge issued within the European Union (EU) without prior notification. The badge must conform to the recommended standard set by the European Commission (98/376/EC) where the badge should display:

On its front:

  • The date of expiry of the badge
  • The distinguishing code for the issuing member state
  • 'Parking card for people with disabilities' written in both English and the language of the member state

On its reverse:

  • The holder's full name
  • The holder's signature
  • A photograph of the holder

Badges issued outside of the EU

Badges issued outside of the EU may be recognised by Herefordshire Council only with advanced notification of its use. To obtain permission before using your parking badge:
