Further assessment for a Blue Badge

If we need more evidence

If we have insufficient evidence to confirm your eligibility for a Blue Badge, we will refer your application for further assessment by an Occupational Therapist.

The Occupational Therapists will ensure that the service is delivered fairly and equitably.

They will also be able to signpost you to other services relevant to your needs.

Once your application has been referred, they will determine whether your application can be assessed without the need to see you or whether it would be more appropriate for you to be seen by an Occupational Therapist.

If you need to be seen, this will be at one of the clinics at Herefordshire Archive and Records Centre (HARC), Fir Tree Lane, Hereford, HR2 6LA. The Occupational Therapist will undertake an assessment with you and will produce a written report to confirm whether you are entitled to a Blue Badge following the guidelines set out by the Department for Transport.

If your application is successful your Blue Badge will be processed within 10 days of your assessment taking place.
