The Herefordshire Hoard

The Herefordshire Hoard is one of the most significant early medieval treasures ever discovered in western Britain. Buried in 878 AD and rediscovered in 2015, the Hoard's remarkable story includes its role at the centre of one of the UK's biggest heritage crimes. This extraordinary find offers a unique glimpse into the region's Anglo-Saxon history. Find out more about the fascinating Herefordshire Hoard and upcoming events on the dedicated Herefordshire Hoard website.
