Finding out about my ancestor's schooling

At Herefordshire Archive and Records Centre, we hold admission and discharge registers for many schools and other educational establishments in the county.

These contain details such as dates, home address and name of parents. An index to registers from1870 - 1914 is available on the Find My Past website at HARC. Log books, which give an insight into the daily management of schools, are also held here. There are access restrictions to some school records. For further information download the list of school records available at Herefordshire Archive and Records Centre.
