Michelle's story

When Michelle's marriage of 25 years broke down, she lived alone in sheltered accommodation. Her health and diet were poor, she had become quite shy and isolated, and her family were very worried about her.

Shared Lives found Michelle an arrangement in which she has settled well and made huge progress. She is now outgoing and confident, and her health has improved. She enjoys regular days helping at a care farm and has been abroad for the first time ever - to France with her Shared lives carers. Michelle's world has expanded.
