Virtual school and PEPs

The purpose of the Virtual School is to make sure that children and young people who are looked after, do as well as they possibly can in education. They work very closely with schools and colleges and they make sure that the Pupil Premium is spent in a way that best helps you to achieve your potential.

When you are in care there will be a Personal Education Plan (PEP) meeting every term. Your social worker, teacher and carer will be there and it’s very important that you are also at this meeting to make sure that your views are understood and listened to. If there is anything that you need extra help with in school it's important that you say.
