Short Break Capital Funding

Herefordshire Council is offering funding to support short break activities for children with disabilities. Grants of £5,000 upwards are being offered for existing and new projects. The funding has the potential to be used to improve buildings, facilities, transport or equipment or anything else that will result in improved provision of short breaks for children and young people and their families.

Who can apply?

Community and voluntary groups, organisations, and town and parish councils are invited to apply for one-off grant funding to improve access to short break activities for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities living in Herefordshire.

Applicants will be required to provide evidence that they can match fund 20 percent of the funding awarded and must be able to demonstrate commitment to the ongoing provision of inclusive activities for disabled children and young people. They must also demonstrate the ongoing sustainability of their project.

If you have an idea for a project and you would like to speak to someone before submitting an application, please call children's commissioning on 01432 260123 or email
