Early Help and prevention strategy information

The Early Help and prevention strategy plays a key role in securing outcomes set out in Herefordshire's Children and Young People's Plan 2020 - 2024. It also contributes to meeting the commitments of the Supporting Families programme and the delivery of Herefordshire's Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

An updated Early Help and prevention strategy has recently been finalised and includes information on the new Children's Help and Advice Team and the vision to provide children and their families with the right help at the right time.

Early help is everyone's responsibility including early year's settings, schools, colleges, the NHS, mental health services, Police, housing associations, community groups, the voluntary sector and council.

The ethos within early help is to work holistically with the whole family and bring about sustained change to leave the family stronger, in control of their own lives.
