Covid-19 Litter pick guidance

If you regularly litter pick you can apply for the following equipment: litter pickers, gloves, hi-vis, purple bags and holders by completing our litter picking equipment request form.

If the equipment is for short term use, or a one off litter pick, then we advise borrowing equipment packs from Balfour Beatty on 01432 261800. We also recommend contacting your parish council to see if they have a supply of equipment available to loan out to volunteers.

After your litter pick please telephone 01432 261800 with details of the number of purple bags, number of miscellaneous items, and an exact location for collection. Balfour Beatty Living Places (BBLP) will collect the bags within five working days. They will notify street cleaning operatives straight away so if they are in or near the area they will collect as soon as notified.

If you would like others to help with your litter pick, just fill out our register your litter pick form and we'll include your details on our current litter picks page.
