Local Plan evidence base

The National Planning Policy Framework (2012) introduced Local Plans in place of Local Development Frameworks (LDFs).

Herefordshire's Local Plan sets out the long term vision, strategy and objectives which will govern future development and land use in the county.

It is intended to help secure sustainable development that improves the economic, social and environmental conditions in Herefordshire. The process for adopting the Local Plan involves extensive consultation with all those who will be affected by the Plan, and documented evidence to support decisions proposed.
