Core Strategy Inspector's Report

The Inspector's Report represents the outcome of the independent examination of the Local Plan, which included the hearings in February 2015.

The report concludes that with the recommended main modifications set out in its Appendix (which can also be viewed in the documents section) the Herefordshire Local Plan Core Strategy satisfies the requirements of Section 20(5) of the 2004 Act and meets the criteria for soundness in the National Planning Policy Framework. This report also concludes that with the incorporation of the various modifications, the Plan provides an appropriate basis for the planning of the county.

The Inspector's Report was the final stage of the examination process. There is no further consultation process with either the Planning Inspector or the council.

The Inspector's Report was presented to the Cabinet meeting on 15 October and to Full Council on 16 October 2015. At the Full Council meeting a decision was made to adopt the Plan.
