Check if a building is listed

Herefordshire has around 6,000 listed buildings under the three categories below.

Listed buildings are graded to show their relative importance:

  • Grade I buildings are those of exceptional interest
  • Grade II* buildings are particularly important buildings of more than special interest
  • Grade II buildings are of special interest, warranting every effort to preserve them

If you are making a planning application you will need to know the grade of the building for which you are seeking planning permission.

Check whether your building is listed and find more information about listed and historic buildings on Historic England's website.
