Herefordshire partners come together to celebrate the launch of Herefordshire’s Children and Young People’s Plan
Over 160 people that work to support children, young people and their families came together on Monday 7 October at a special showcase event at Hereford Shire Hall to officially launch Herefordshire’s new Children and Young People’s Plan.
Hosted by the Herefordshire’s Children and Young People’s Partnership, the event celebrated the local support for children, young people and their families, with over 40 manned display stands providing information on a wide range of services for Herefordshire families.
During the event there were presentations from young ambassadors from Phoenix Bereavement Support Services, Strong Young Minds champions and school peer mediators from Wye Valley Mediation.
Councillor Felicity Norman, Cabinet Member for Children and Families said: “The showcase has been a fantastic opportunity for partners to come together and show their support for Herefordshire’s children and young people.
“The council and its partners see the wellbeing of children and young people as a core priority. Working together we have created a plan, which sets out our vision over the next 5 years for children, young people and families in Herefordshire. We believe that everyone has a role to play in supporting the plan to give children and young people a great start in life and make Herefordshire a great place to grow up.”
