A report from Herefordshire Council this week has authorised a feasibility study into the construction of a 140 place primary school.
A new build for Peterchurch primary school is central to Herefordshire Council’s schools’ capital investment strategy. The feasibility study will provide all the necessary information to underpin a fully informed decision on the final specification and procurement approach for the project.
A sum of £5.5 million has already been allocated to the capital programme for this purpose, and the project has the full backing of the school, parish council and ward member Cllr Price.
Cllr Swinglehurst, Cabinet member for education said:
“This is an exciting development in our capital investment strategy for schools which aims to provide enhanced 21st century learning spaces for children and young people across our county.”
