Merry Christmas from Herefordshire Council
With less than a week to go until Christmas, there is still plenty to do around the county to get you into the festive spirit.
Don’t forget to pick up your last minute Christmas shopping this Wednesday – it’s your last chance for late night Christmas shopping. Shops and the High Town Christmas market will be open until 8pm, with some unique gifts available from the Black and White House Museum (open until 7pm). Herefordshire Council car parks in Hereford city centre, the Old Market car park and on-street pay & display will be free for shoppers after 4pm for late night Christmas shopping.
If you’re looking for things to do with little ones, there is Christmas storytime at Ledbury Library this Thursday 11am-12pm. Hereford Library has a Christmas story and craft event on Thursday 10am-12pm. Both events are free.
There will be changes to the opening times of council buildings over the festive period (see below). Libraries will be closed from Friday 22 December – 2 January, except for Saturday 23 and Saturday 30 December. Some library buildings will be open for self service book returns - check the page for your local library for more details.
Make sure you stay warm, stay well this winter and take time to check on neighbours who may be spending Christmas on their own.
