Over 100 people attended the Hereford Crematorium open day
The open day provided not only an opportunity for people to see what services are available to plan a funeral but also a chance to see what happens behind the scenes when the coffin goes through and the curtains close.
Tracy Morris, Bereavement Service Supervisor was interviewed on the day by BBC Hereford and Worcester and described how the day aimed to dispel the myths and untruths about cremation, and to show the individual care, attention and dignity with which each person is treated through the crematory process
Some visitors found that it was therapeutic to visit and find out how their relatives were treated. Holly described how the visit helped her, her mother was cremated last year and this visit helped her, knowing that her mother was dealt with "properly, kindly and with respect'
