Representatives from Herefordshire Council, Hampton Dene Primary School, Eign Hill Parish Council and construction firm Speller Metcalfe gathered on Thursday 2 October to mark the start of a major redevelopment project at Hampton Dene Primary School in Tupsley, Hereford.

The £2.4 million initiative, led by Herefordshire Council, will expand the facilities within the school’s Language and Communication Centre, which supports pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

In addition to the new buildings, the project includes upgrades to the school’s parking area and outdoor spaces, creating a more welcoming and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors.

The redevelopment is expected to be completed by next summer.

This investment is part of a wider commitment to enhancing education across Herefordshire, ensuring that every child has access to high-quality, inclusive learning environments.
