Learning Disability Week takes place from 16 to 22 June this year and we’re looking for help to inform a review of our learning disability strategy.

The council’s learning disability strategy 2018 to 2028 set out our long term plans to support people with learning disability and their family carers. We’re now looking for feedback from those who live with a learning disability to inform a review of that strategy.

You can share your feedback via our online survey. Printed copies of the survey are also available and will be shared with our providers and at community events. We are asking for all feedback to be submitted or sent to us by 13 July.

Councillor Carole Gandy, Cabinet Member for Adults, Health and Wellbeing, said:

It’s important that strategy documents are regularly reviewed and kept up to date. The Learning Disability Partnership Board for Herefordshire meets four times each year to discuss the work that is going on to help people with learning disabilities. However, we also want to hear from anyone who has lived experience of learning disability to ensure that our strategy remains relevant and meets the needs of the people who it’s meant to serve.
